Beyond the Standard Wash

Detailing is an involved process designed to address contaminants that a normal wash cannot remove, and to assess the paintwork for potential enhancement. We take a careful, step-by-step approach.

1

Inspection

Reviewing panel condition and clear coat thickness.

2

Pre-Wash

Touchless dirt removal.

3

Contact Wash

Safe manual washing.

4

Decontamination

Chemical iron and tar removal.

Chemical & Physical Decontamination

Over time, vehicles in the UK pick up iron fallout from brakes and railways, as well as tar spots from summer roads. We use targeted chemicals to dissolve these safely. If the paint still feels rough, a clay bar treatment may be utilized to pull embedded contaminants from the clear coat.

Paint Assessment & Polishing

Once clean and bare, we assess the paint under detailing lights. Optional machine polishing can be discussed to help reduce the appearance of wash marring and swirl marks. Please note that not all scratches are removable; deep scratches that catch a fingernail often require bodyshop attention.

Final Care Notes

Following any detailing or polishing work, a protective layer should be applied to seal the finish. The final outcome relies heavily on the starting condition of the vehicle; we will always provide a realistic expectation during the initial inspection.
